Yesterday I posted a video of a Ridvan song in English as part of a series of videos that I will be sharing for the 12 Days of Ridvan.
I just posted the video for the Ridvan song in Arabic sung by talented musician, Sonbol Taefi (see video below). A few years ago, Sonbol asked me to record with her, Grant Hindin Miller and Luke Slott on the song, ‘The Photograph’, a piece she was producing for the 10th anniversary of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s travels to the West. What a privilege to sing on ‘The Photograph‘ – such an epic song!
I am so excited to share this version as Arabic is the original language of this beautiful passage written by Bahá’u’lláh.
I look forward to sharing the next video on the blog tomorrow. Kindly share with friends you know who speak Arabic.
Lyrics:
اَنِ افْرَحُوا يا اَهْلَ اللّهِ بِذِکرِ اَيّامٍ فيها ظَهَرَ الفَرَحُ الأَعظَمُ
Rejoice with exceeding gladness, O people of Bahá, as ye call to remembrance the Day of supreme felicity… Bahá’u’lláh
Allah’u’Abha
