Videos in honor of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

In honor of the Day of the Covenant and the Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, I wanted to share a few videos to bring inspiration to your gatherings and personal reflections. 

The Day of the Covenant commemorates the appointment of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá as the Centre of Bahá’u’lláh’s Covenant. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá was the example of wisdom and insight, and of loving kindness and compassion to all. Bahá’ís around the world celebrate this special day and the day of His passing to remember ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s unique life of service to humanity.

It seems now more than ever that the example of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s life is needed in the world, so I wanted to share these videos as a gift for these special Holy Days.

1. The Mystery of God – Titles of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá — Selected Titles of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá in English and Persian. I recorded this piece last year for my album ‘The Divine Mystery’.

2. Hold Thou My Hand — A song about ‘Abdu’l-Bahá guiding and protecting us from challenges that we face.  The lyrics and melody are by Gloria Faizi. 

3. Glimpses of the Room of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá — Filmed in the room of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá at Green Acre Bahá’í School and accompanied by the piece ‘Blessings Upon You’ from the writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.

4. Waves of One Sea — A global singalong and an anthem for unity.  The verses are sung in 6 languages.

5. Light for the World — A collection of inspiring words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá calling for unity. 

6. The Photograph — A collaborative song dedicated to ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.  I was honored to be included on this song with Luke Slott, Grant Hinden Miller and Sonbol Taefi.

7. Solace of My Soul — A newly translated poem written by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.

8. We Must Look Higher — 4 passages on the theme of detachment from the Writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
