Hold Thou My Hand – a song about ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
I am honoured to share with you a video that I created a few years ago for a song that is dear to my heart titled ‘Hold Thou My Hand’.
This was the first piece I learned to play on the guitar. The song is about ‘Abdu’l-Bahá guiding and protecting us from challenges that we face. I have always loved this song and wanted to make my own arrangement on the piano. I recorded it several years ago and decided to include it on my album ‘The Divine Mystery’.
The lyrics and the melody are by Gloria Faizi. The words are so inspiring and I have often turned to it for solace and strength (see lyrics below).
I have included the song on my album ‘The Divine Mystery’ – in honor of the life of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. I hope it brings you joy and inspiration.
As the Day of the Covenant and the centenary of the passing of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá are fast approaching, I thought I would provide you with a few videos to bring inspiration to your gatherings.
