Seek None Other – a soul-stirring duet
I am thrilled to share a video titled ‘Seek None Other’ and delighted to make it available for the Twin Holy Birthdays of the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh.
This piece is a duet with one of my favorite singers, Siria Rutstein. Thanks to John Thompson for editing and producing such an epic piece.
‘Seek None Other’ is from my album ‘Infinite Bounty’ on the theme of detachment released 10 years ago!
The song sets to music the following words of Bahá’u’lláh:
“O Son of Earth! Wouldst thou have Me,
seek none other than Me;
and wouldst thou gaze upon My beauty,
close thine eyes to the world and all that is therein;
for My will and the will of another than Me,
even as fire and water, cannot dwell together in one heart.”

My husband and I were reflecting on this profound passage and how it encourages us to turn away from the distractions of the material world and our lower nature in order to truly behold God’s beauty. It reminds us that the water of worldly desires can easily extinguish the flame of the love of God in our hearts.
