I’m in awe thinking about how in every corner of this earth there will be celebrations in the next 24-48 hours taking place in honor of the 200th birthday of Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá’í Faith.
I wanted to write a quick note to wish you a joyous celebration!
Starting within the next few hours, there will photos and stories of activities from around the world and video streaming of selected events from Bahá’í Houses of Worship.
I found a beautiful video called ‘Flowers of One Garden’ that I thought I would share with you. The video was created by Alina Suleimanova. She writes: “Our differences make us beautiful. Our differences make us strong. Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings help us understand that God has created every human being from the same substance, that no one should exalt themselves over another and that the differences between us can be likened to a garden, in which each flower has its own fragrance, colour and form but together create something very beautiful.
This art project of portraits of people from 68 different countries is inspired by the upcoming Bicentennial Celebrations Baha’i communities are holding around the world. In commemoration of the birth, 200 years ago of Bahá’u’lláh, and an expression of love for His vision of a united world – He writes “So powerful is the light of unity, that it can illuminate the whole earth.” Baha’u’llah
Wishing you joyous celebrations wherever you are.
