Job Description

BTC Power is in search of a reliable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team.

The successful candidate will generate and track invoices, perform collection calls, resolve issues with our customers, and generate reports as needed. He or she should be extremely detail-oriented and a team player. Experience in a manufacturing company is preferred. We need someone who can work with the sales department and the accounting group to ensure that billings are accurate and complete.

Major Responsibilities:

• Post daily deposits

• Generate invoices, track and report backlog

• Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and questions

• Initiate collections on past-due accounts

• Interface with Sales department on a routine basis

• Enter and maintain records in Enterprise system (Peachtree)

• Handle all special billing situations

• Audit ledgers to ensure they contain correct information, such as billing addresses and invoice numbers

• Special projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• 4+ years’ experience in AR

• Advanced mathematical and logical deduction skills

• Proficient in Excel and creating Pivot Tables

• Experience with customer service and client communication

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Intermediate to advanced 10-key skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office Software

• Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets

• Familiarity with accounting software programs (Peachtree preferred)

Work Environment:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
