Ria Health is on a mission to bring effective evidence-based treatment for alcohol use disorder to all Americans. Our team consists of empathetic mission-driven professionals coming together to support the quality and availability of our national telehealth alcohol treatment program. We are seeking a Hybrid Clinic Manager in Connecticut. The manager will lead a care team of Registered Nurses and medical assistants, working together to provide superior care and service to a panel of telemedicine patients, setting the medical providers, their team and their patients up for success.

WORK AS A RIA HEALTH CLINIC Manager
The Clinic Manager has a background in both technology and the medical support space. This candidate takes pride in their work and professionalism, ensuring they are communicating in both an efficient yet compassionate way with Ria Health patients, providers and other Ria Health team members. Managing change is a skill that the manager has mastery with.
Reporting to the Sr Director of Clinical Operations, the Clinic Manager will be an expert in team building, process improvement, communication as well as stepping in when needed to provide direct care.
Responsibilities - Creates and maintain a strong, efficient and professional teams
- Displays highly tuned change management skills
- Assesses current procedures and adapts them when needed to optimize workflows.
- Plans, schedules and directs the daily function of the clinic teams
- Welcoming, Compassionate, and Safe virtual waiting room for patients.
- Manage the flow of patients within the virtual waiting room.
- Lead the Medical Assistant and Registered Nurse teams as they virtually engage patients while documenting their medical history/current information via Zoom.
- Establish and maintain patient confidence, complying with HIPAA regulations, and safeguard both medical records and confidential data/patient history/information.
- Ensure adherence to company standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements at all times.
- Problem solving patient complaints and helping with complex patients, knowing when to escalate the situation or deescalate the patient.
- Acknowledgment that work may involve working with Protected Healthcare Information and agree to abide by all company policies and procedures for keeping that information secure and private.
- Efficiently execute daily administrative responsibilities as delegated, while remaining readily accessible to support teammates during intervals between patient appointments.
- Agree to work within the policies and procedures of Ria Health, including the Information Security, Acceptable Use, Remote Work/Teleworking, and the Monitoring and Recording policies. Violation of company policies may be grounds for discipline, up to and including termination.
Team Lead Responsibilities
- Leads the Medical Assistant and Registered Nurse teams, ensuring effective coordination and performance of frontline clinical staff.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Clinical Operations to develop and refine clinic workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Support the onboarding and training of new clinic providers to ensure smooth integration into the clinic team.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that promotes open communication and accountability.
- Oversee the weekly team schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of administrative time.
- Oversees the functioning of the virtual practice to help ensure steady and smooth functioning of clinic operations including staff scheduling.
- Monitors the virtual clinic, resolving issues and escalating as needed.
- Collaborates regularly with theSr. Director of Clinical Operations in the development and implementation of administrative and operational policy and procedures within the Virtual Practice.
- Work with the MA II in new employee training and ongoing training with the current team.
Competencies - Adapt and refine clinical processes including intake, check in, documentation for digital efficiency and scalability
- Models empathetic, engaging communication when guiding team interactions
- Handles clinical complaints, escalates as needed and coaches staff of deescalation skills
- Builds high-performing remote team, sets clear expectations, manages schedules and foster accountability and engagement.
- Applies project thinking to identify inefficiencies and implement standardized virtual workflows and procedures, enhancing scalability.
- Applies trauma-informed care and cultural humility in remote settings
- Stays current with telehealth trends, compliance updates and best practices.
- Advocates for team development and learning
Goals - Establish trust with Ria Health Members by actively listening and providing truly helpful information at a manageable pace.
- Offer high-level support to the Clinical team as well as other departments as needed.
- Represent Ria Health’s dedication to both healthcare and technology advancement by offering a background/knowledge of career experience in both the tech space and medical support area.
Requirements: Education and Experience
- Ability to quickly build rapport and trust with patients and Ria Health Team
- 2-5 years experience with leading a medical clinic team.
- Familiarity with addiction treatment programs from community meetings to rehab is preferred
- Polished and professional in presentation and communication
- Active listener, excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with various computer applications, tech savvy required.
- Flexible, naturally curious in the discovery of solutions to current company challenges, interest in tech/healthcare industry
