Job Summary

Position Title: Summer Camp Teacher
Reports To: Director of Preschool
Position Type: Full-Time

Location: St. Monica Preschool, Creve Coeur, MO

Position Summary:

A Summer Camp Teacher combines fun, faith-based, and educational activities for students during the summer break. The focus is often on creating a safe, structured, and spiritually enriching environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead academic and recreational activities : Arts & crafts, sports, projects, and inside and outside games.
  • Integrate Catholic values with faith-based activities : Include prayer, Bible stories, or saint-of-the-day reflections.
  • Supervise children : Ensure safety and appropriate behavior at all times.
  • Collaborate with staff : Work closely with other teachers.
  • Support spiritual development : Lead morning prayer and model Christian values.
  • Communicate with parents : Provide updates, handle concerns, and celebrate student successes.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working with children (especially in educational or religious settings).
  • Knowledge of Catholic teachings and traditions.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
  • First aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Background check and Safe Environment Training.
